Artist Statement
I believe that the culture of a world can be found in its arts. As an artist, I strive to innovate while maintaining value and commemoration for history. Arts districts, galleries, murals and places where values can be publicly illustrated are essential for the advancement and cultivation of the world. I am dedicated to doing work of this caliber internationally. My sources for inspiration include ancient Nubian history, theology, metaphysics, quantum theory, relativity, pop-culture, and modern life expressed figuratively.
I am currently working to build my portfolio over the next year with themes exploring a contemporary association with ancestors and the way that they present themselves in modern settings, self-realization in modern-day, time as relative measure, pop culture and religion, and Afro-futurism (subjects of the African diaspora with futuristic hues and nostalgic references).
I plan to present these works in a series of six solo shows between New York, LA, and Atlanta. In the meantime, I aim to build exposure by way of group shows and online publications, nationally and abroad.
