Jules the Artist
Jules is an abstract expressionist and mixed media painter whose vibrant canvases pulsate with the rhythm of two worlds. Raised in Haiti, her art explores the dynamic tension between cultural heritage and adaptation, tradition and self-discovery. More than just visual narratives, Jules' paintings embody emotions. They pulse with the joy of cultural richness, the bittersweet pang of displacement, and the unwavering determination to forge a path that honors both. By embracing the conflict between adapting to her new life and remaining true to her roots, she finds a “Sweet Spot Between Confusion and Clarity”. Jules' artistic journey began as a child, fueled by the vibrant storytelling traditions of her Haitian upbringing. Naviguating life in America, art became a sanctuary, a space to process complex emotions and explore her evolving identity. Her work has since found home in publications and exhibitions that celebrate the voices of diverse narratives. Her work has been published in ChromArt Magazine by Digital Chroma and Blossom Magazine’s 6th Issue. Jules resides and works in Queens, New York.
