I create original acrylic-based paintings that tends to fall somewhere on a spectrum between surrealism and the abstract. The juxtaposition of the reality I know to be true and abstract elements that challenge those perceptions are the tools I use to embody aspects of the human experience from the perspective of a black woman.

My goal is to address fluid concepts that are not defined by a single truth in hopes of starting discussions that lead to more connection through shared experiences as well as a better understanding of the differences that make those experiences uniquely individual.
